RAK9154 Solar Battery Installation Guide

NOTE

The diameter of the pole that is supported by the brackets is 55-80 mm. If the pole diameter is more than this value, larger steel strips can be used. The standard mounting kit does not include larger steel strips. If needed, it should be purchased separately.

  1. Fix the mounting bracket on the pole with two steel strips.

  1. Attach the mounting plate onto the RAK9154 with two M3 screws.

  1. Install the RAK9154 on the back of the solar panel with four screws and nuts.

  1. Connect the cable of the solar panel to the circular connector of the RAK9154 labeled PV input. Install two M6 screws on the mounting plate and reserve a gap of about 3 mm.

  1. Hang the solar panel on the mounting bracket and adjust the solar panel's angle direction. Then tighten the two screws and secure it with the other two screws.

  1. The RAK9154 Solar Battery can be used to power the RAK2560 Sensor Hub or the RAK7240/RAK7289 outdoor WisGate Edge gateways. Connect the desired device to the corresponding connector via the cable, with consideration of the output voltage.
