RAK7392 WisGate Connect Router
Thank you for choosing RAK7392 WisGate Connect Router in your awesome IoT project! 🎉 To help you get started, we have provided you with all the necessary documentation for your product.
Product Description
The RAK7392 WisGate Connect Router is the world's first 4-port router based on Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4), also compatible with CM5.
The device features three 1 Gb Ethernet Ports and one 2.5 Gb Ethernet port. On top of that, the board includes a MiniPCIe slot with SPI and USB interfaces, suitable for different radio technologies such as LoRa®, mioty, and cellular. Whether used as an industrial device with custom IoT services or an office router running SOHO software, the RAK7392 provides a platform for custom networking and edge solutions.
Aside from the connectivity features, the RAK7392 has two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a USB-C port for console access, a second USB-C port to flash a custom OS on the compute module, an accessible SD card slot to support Compute Module Lite versions, and a reset button. It also has an onboard RTC with battery backup, two notification LEDs (power and activity) and one user LED for custom notifications.
The RAK7392 comes with a compact enclosure with aluminum base that doubles as a heat sink for the compute module and provides holes for two SMA antennas (Wi-Fi plus whatever radio you have on the MiniPCIe slot).
For more advanced applications, it also has one WisBlock Sensor slot and one WisBlock IO slot with I2C and GPIO signals for adding industrial interfaces. This may require an enclosure different from the standard one.
The devices is powered by a 2.1 × 5.5 mm barrel connector providing 12 V. Power consumption is 5-7 W in normal operation with a CM4.
