RAK6421 WisBlock Pi Hat
Thank you for choosing RAK6421 WisBlock Pi Hat in your awesome IoT project! 🎉 To help you get started, we have provided you with all the necessary documentation for your product.
Product Description
The RAK6421 WisBlock Pi Hat is a powerful Raspberry Pi HAT that lets you connect WisBlock modules directly to any Raspberry Pi board (Pi 4, Pi 5, or Pi Zero 2W). Whether you're building a Meshtastic router, a sensor gateway, or a LoRa test platform, RAK6421 makes it easy to integrate LoRa radios, GPS, environmental sensors, and more, all in a modular, plug-and-play way. The RAK6421 WisBlock Pi Hat features an independent EEPROM that serves as the HAT+ ID EEPROM.
With the RAK6421 you can turn your Raspberry Pi into a powerful IoT hub. It lets you plug in pretty much any WisBlock sensor or interface module, from LoRa radios to GPS and environmental sensors, directly onto your Pi. No extra baseboard needed. Ideal for rapid prototyping, smart monitoring, or building a compact Meshtastic node.
Core benefits of the RAK6421 Pi HAT includes:
- Instantly connect WisBlock modules: No need for a separate WisBlock baseboard.
- Supports sensors, radios, and GPS: Easily build LoRa or sensor-based applications.
- A great IoT and Meshtastic Pi HAT: Ideal for long-range communication and logging.
- Compact and plug-and-play: Clean setup, fast integration, and no soldering required.
- Follows HAT+ specification: An onboard EEPROM can store metadata and a device tree, allowing the OS to automatically detect the installed hardware modules and load the required drivers.
