Bobcat Outdoor Enclosure Kit Solar Shield Installation Guide (Optional)
RAK Solar Shield is here to protect your outdoor placed gateways or Hotspots from the hot sun. It is developed to fit perfectly over the Outdoor Enclosure kit for Bobcat Miner. The Solar Shield includes all necessary accessories for easy and secure mounting.
Figure 250: Solar Shield- If you have already installed the outdoor enclosure onto the pole, you need to remove the two M6*12 screws that fasten it on both sides first.
Figure 251: Unscrewing the Fastening Screws- Install the screws on the left and right holders, each holder has two screws. It is important to reserve a gap of 3-4 mm between the screw and the holder, so do not tighten them at this point.
Figure 252: Installing the Screws to the Holders- Attach the holders to the mounting bracket and fix them with the screws that were removed in Step 1. Do it on both sides.
Figure 253: Attaching the Holders- Attach the shield, sliding it in the gap that was left on the screws of the holders, then tighten the screws.
