Mounting
Instructions on mounting and securing the mounting kit to the enclosure and the bearing pole.
- Fix the device bracket on the bottom of the enclosure using four (4) M6*12 screws.

- Hang the enclosure and fasten it to the bracket using two (2) M6*12 screws.

- Plug the Ethernet cable from the enclosure into the port labeled PoE on the adapter.
- Using another cable, link your LAN network to the port labeled LAN.
- Finally, plug the power cord into the adapter, then into a power outlet.

To protect the Ethernet cable gland and antenna connector from environmental exposure, wrap them properly with PVC and waterproof tape.
- Clean the connector surface to remove dirt and moisture. Wrap a layer of PVC tape with a 50% overlap, following the connector's rotation direction. Extend the wrapping approximately 10 mm below the connector's end.
Figure 1: Wrap with PVC tape- Cut a 50 cm length of waterproof tape and stretch it to double its length. Wrap three layers around the connector with a 50% overlap. Hold the tape firmly for a few seconds to secure it.
Figure 1: Wrap with waterproof tape- Wrap three additional layers of PVC tape with natural uncoiling force and a 50% overlap. Make sure both the head and tail of the connector are fully covered.

- Antenna Grounding: RAKwireless recommends installing a lightning arrestor on all the antenna N-type terminals. The arrestors must be N-type Female to Male to fit the antenna and enclosure connectors. Ensure you use a 10 AWG or better wire to connect the screw terminals of the arrestors to the grounding rail mounted on the building wall (grounding bar in the case of field deployment).
- Gateway Grounding: It is also recommended to connect a 10 AWG or better grounding wire to connect the screw terminal on the bottom-left side of the gateway casing to the grounding rail or bar.
