Description

The RAK10708 WisMesh Pod is a compact, ready-to-use Meshtastic node. It features a robust injection-molded enclosure, a built-in 1,000 mAh rechargeable battery, and integrated antennas for LoRa, BLE, and GNSS. With no assembly required, the WisMesh Pod provides a convenient solution for off-grid mesh communication.

Specifications

Hardware

The WisMesh Pod comes fully assembled with an internal battery. However, it is recommended to fully recharge the battery before switching the device on. It is powered by its internal 1000 mAh battery and features a multi-function button, three LEDs and a USB Type-C connector for recharging.

NOTE

The enclosure cannot be opened without damaging the device.

Hardware Interface

LED Indicators

The WisMesh Pod uses three LED indicators (red, green, and blue) to display charging, device status, and message notifications.

LED	Description
🔴 RED LED	The charging indicator. It lights up when the USB Type-C connector is plugged in. The device can be charged even when powered off.
🟢 GREEN LED	Shows different states depending on the device's mode. Solid: Device powered on Breathing: BLE DFU mode Blinking: MCU activity
🔵 BLUE LED	The message indicator. It lights up when a message is received.

NOTE

When the battery is fully charged, the red LED turns off. The green LED remains solid only if the device is powered on.

Button

The WisMesh Pod features a multifunction button for power control, reset, and DFU mode for firmware updates.

Action	Function
Long press (5 seconds)	Powers the device on or off. The green LED stays solid when the device is powered on.
Single press	Resets the device.
Double press	Enters DFU mode for firmware updates via USB Type-C.

NOTE

The multifunction button is dedicated to power on/off, device reset, and DFU mode. It cannot be used for other user-defined functions.

Buzzer

The WisMesh Pod features a built-in buzzer for audible notifications.

USB Port

The USB Type-C port is used for battery charging, firmware flashing, and debugging. It is recommended to use a 5 V 0.5 A USB charger to recharge the battery.

Antenna

The LoRa, BLE, and GNSS antennas are integrated inside the enclosure. No external antenna installation is required.

Dimensions

The WisMesh Pod features an injection-molded enclosure with an included silicone case for additional protection.
