WisMesh Station
Overview
The WisMesh Station is a ready-to-deploy node designed to extend and strengthen Meshtastic networks. Built on the Raspberry Pi 4B platform and powered by the WisMesh Pi HAT (RAK6421), it integrates a LoRa transceiver and the RAK12501 GNSS GPS module to provide reliable long-range LoRa communication with precise location tracking.
The RAK6421 is fully compliant with the Raspberry Pi HAT+ specification and includes an independent EEPROM for storing metadata and device tree information. This enables Meshtastic firmware to automatically detect and configure connected hardware modules for simplified deployment and operation.
WisMesh Station is available in two variants based on the LoRa module used:
- RAK8622 (WisMesh Station) – equipped with the RAK13300 LoRa module with up to 22 dBm transmit power
- RAK8623 (WisMesh Station High Power) – equipped with the RAK13302 LoRa module with up to 30 dBm transmit power
With modular plug-and-play support for LoRa radios, GNSS, and additional peripherals, WisMesh Station is ideal for building Meshtastic routers, sensor gateways, remote monitoring systems, and LoRa development or test platforms.
Ensure the antenna is connected before powering on the device to avoid damage to the LoRa transceiver.
