What's New in WisDM v1.9.8?

New Features

1	Firmware Update Control with Prerequisite Versions	A prerequisite firmware mechanism has been introduced to ensure safe and controlled firmware upgrades. Location-level and single gateway firmware updates now enforce minimum firmware requirements before upgrade. For example, certain firmware versions such as OS 2.3 require gateways to be upgraded through specific prerequisite versions before installation. NOTE Prerequisite firmware requirements are only applied to selected firmware versions where explicitly defined. Figure 1: Gateway log level configuration
2	Improved Gateway Deletion Warning Message	The confirmation message when deleting a gateway has been updated to provide clearer and more complete information about the impact of the action. It now explicitly indicates that: The gateway will be reset to factory default All configurations, including factory pre-configuration, will be removed The gateway and all related data will be permanently deleted If factory pre-configuration is used, the Preconfig Persistence Extension must be installed before reset, or users should contact RAK Support
3	Improved SD Card Status Indication	The SD card Not Found status has been improved for better visibility and clarity. The status icon is now shown in red, consistent with other abnormal SD card states A warning message has been added: SD card–dependent features (extensions, log storage etc.) may be unavailable. Core functions remain operational.

1	Save Button Incorrectly Activated in Network Settings	Fixed an issue in Location Network Settings (Work mode: Basic Station) where the Save Changes button became active after re-selecting Authentication mode: None, even when no actual configuration changes were made.
