Product Description​
RAK12018 WisBlock Code Scanner Module is a WisBlock Interface module capable of scanning 1D or 2D codes. It uses the LV3296 scanner module from RAKINDA that works on bar codes, QR, and other standard 1D/2D codes.
LV3296 is connected to the main RAK12018 board via flex cable, which is ideal for different enclosure setups. The RAK12018 also has mounting screw holes dedicated to LV3296, so you can fix it directly to the board making the setup very compact.

Prerequisites​
To use a RAK12018, you need to connect first the LV3296 scanner to the module via flex cable. The RAK12018 will not work without the LV3296 scanner module. You also need a WisBlock Base to plug the module in. WisBlock Base is the power supply for the RAK12018 module. Furthermore, you need a WisBlock Core module, which gets the data from the bar code scanner module.
Make sure to fix the module with the screws to ensure a proper function.
