RAK7268V2/RAK7268CV2 Network & Connectivity Settings
Go to Network to configure and manage your gateway’s WAN and LAN interfaces, ensuring reliable internet connectivity and stable local network access.
WAN
The WAN configuration manages how the gateway connects to the Internet through available network interfaces — Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Cellular (for LTE models). By default, the system uses predefined connection priorities and failover rules to maintain stable network connectivity.
The following sections describe both the basic WAN setup and the operation of the Multi-Network Backup and Auto Failover features.
For detailed configuration parameters, see the WisGateOS 2 User Manual > Network > WAN.
Multi-Wan Network Backup
Enable multiple WAN interfaces at the same time and set a priority order. The gateway always uses the highest-priority connection, with lower-priority links serving as automatic backups to maintain stable connectivity.

Auto Failover
Auto Failover monitors WAN connections in real time. If the active link fails, the gateway seamlessly switches to a backup interface and returns when the primary is restored — ensuring high availability and uninterrupted connectivity.

LAN
Configure local network settings, including the DHCP server, Ethernet LAN, and Wi-Fi AP mode, to manage local connectivity. For detailed configuration parameters, see the WisGateOS 2 User Manual > Network > LAN.
